Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】
This course deals with education and ethnic identity of Chinese migrant in Japan and the United Kingdom.
【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students are expected to (1)obtain basic knowledge about the relationship between education and ethnic identity of Chinese migrant in Japan and the United Kingdom, (2) enhance the basic concept of transculturalism.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before each class meeting, participants will be expected to have read the relevant chapter(s) from the text and prepared a resume . Your required study time is two hours for each class meeting. Your study time will be two hours.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process: in-class contribution(70%)and term-end report(30%).
