Outline (in English)

[Course outline] This course aims at an in-depth comparative study of texts and authors from the regions including Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. [Learning objectives] Students will be expected to develop skills of critical reading of literary texts with attention to their historical and social contexts. [Learning activities outside of classroom] Before each session, students will be expected to have read the assigned materials. The required study time is at least four hours for each class session. [Grading policy] Final grade will be decided based on the following: presentation 60% and in-class contribution 40%.
