Outline (in English)

Themes of this lecture series are on (1) environment and energy policies in Japan and the world, and (2) approaches for overcoming the environment and energy challenges including global governance and international cooperation. The objectives of this lecture series are:
•to objectively understand the current environment and energy issues with the use of statistical data as well as policies analyses,
•to understand the global environment and energy policies from both historical and current perspectives, and
•to establish views for overcoming those challenges surrounding global environment and energy issues from multilateral/ bilateral approaches as well as Japan’s approaches.


A comprehensive evaluation will be made based on class participation (attendance) and two presentations or report submissions (50% weight each).
