Outline (in English)

Environmental problems are physical, chemical, and biological effects and reactions on natural ecosystems caused by human activities. To understand "what is happening" and "what should be done", scientific knowledge is essential. In this lecture, students will learn the basic engineering knowledge of mechanisms and countermeasures of local environmental problems such as air pollution, water pollution, waste, soil contamination, noise, odor, hazardous substances. Students are required to spend two hours preparing and reviewing each lecture. Evaluation will be based on a report or the final exam.
