Outline (in English)

We will learn about the characteristics, actions, and specific approaches of social entrepreneurs who are solving social issues in innovative ways, including business methods. While a variety of measures and initiatives are currently being implemented on a global scale to achieve the SDGs, there are issues and people who are not easily targeted by conventional responses in the public and private sectors. By focusing on such issues and learning about the specific activities of social entrepreneurs who are engaged in solving them using various innovations, we will understand what social issues are, what causes them, and what methods are available to solve them, and deepen our knowledge about the nature of social development. As for learning activities outside of class room, read in advance the relevant sections of the textbook that will be mentioned in each lecture and prepare your own questions.
