【Course Outline】
Three instructors with practical experience in local governments will give classes in an omnibus format on three themes that are important for local governments to advance their policies: town planning and development administration, local assemblies, and resident theory. Lectures will be given on the concept and system of "residents" who are an essential component of local governments, and the situation and system through analysis of "local councils", as well as practical examples of town planning and development administration, which is a field of public policy of local governments.
 
【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this subject is to learn and acquire the basics of town planning and development administration, analysis of local councils, and resident theory.
 
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
After each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.
 
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Activeness in presenting opinions and discussions during class (80%), submitting and presenting reports (20%).
