Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The objective of the course is to improve students' academic writing abilities. For this purpose, students are introduced to the basic concepts and conventions of academic writing.

(Learning Objectives)
Upon completion of the course, students should:
・be aware of a series of writing processes.
・gain practical experience of each process.
・be able to write an effective research plan.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have completed their assignment(s) and read the relevant chapter(s) from the text. It is necessary for you to spend more than four hours studying for each class meeting.

(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Research plan 20%、Term examination 20%、Assignments 30 %, Class contribution 30 %
