Outline (in English)

How do companies determine their business scope, acquire sustainable competitive advantages over their rivals, build and improve efficient and effective operational systems? Focusing on these issues, this course will explore and discuss corporate strategy, business strategy, and supply chain strategy. The case method will be used to analyze real-world examples. The goals of this course are to deeply understand the relevant theories and be able to analyze the effectiveness of companies' strategies. Before each class meeting, students are expected to have read the relevant articles assigned by the instructor. The required study time is at least two hours for each class meeting. The final grade will be calculated based on the following components: Mid-term report (25%), term-end examination (30%), and in-class contribution, including presentations and discussions(45%).
