Outline (in English)

In this course, after acquiring (1) a theoretical perspective on communities and careers from multiple perspectives and experiential learning, students will learn how to design surveys and research by understanding (2) a practical perspective from the perspectives of organizational ethnography and program evaluation.
In the first half of the course, from the first to the 14th session (in charge: Hatta), students will deepen their insight into "(social/material) space" and "(social) groups," which are important perspectives when thinking about communities," and intersect this spatial perspective with the group theoretical perspective, while practically examining them from the perspective of organizational ethnography.
In the latter half of the seminar, from the 15th to the 28th session (in charge: Yasuda), we will discuss how to structure career support, human resource development, and organizational development implemented in business organizations, educational institutions, and local communities from a program perspective, structure its effects and outcomes based on data, evaluate its effects and outcomes based on data, and improve the quality of its activities. The course will cover program evaluation, a methodology for connecting the program to the quality of the activities.
