Outline (in English)

In this seminar, students acquire the ability to carry out their own research themes in the field of information systems that support people's activities and to compile them into a thesis.

The goal of the course is as follows in the field of research
(1) To plan research
(2) To promote research
(3) To discuss their research
(4) To compile their own research into a thesis.

There will be activities outside of class time to build on the practice. Work such as preparation of report materials and software development as needed must be done outside of class hours. In addition, students are expected to proceed with other actual work depending on their own progress. Students are expected to actively participate in study groups held on weekends and during long vacations to improve their skills. Including these, the preparation and review time for this exercise is at least 2 hours each.

Grades are assigned as follows:
Active participation in seminar activities (50%): Students are able to conduct literature surveys, design and plan experiments and carry them out, analyze data, and evaluate the results of their analyses. For this purpose, they are able to make progress reports and discuss them.
Various deliverables (50%): Students are able to carry out their research and explain these results to others. For this purpose, they are able to prepare materials. They are able to compile the results into a graduation thesis.
