Outline (in English)

In this seminar, students deepen their understanding of information systems that support people's activities through carrying out their own research themes.

The goals of this course are to enable students to do the followings regarding information systems that support people's activities:
(1) To concretize a research theme,
(2) To explain their own research theme,
(3) To carry out their own research theme.

There will be activities outside of class to build on the practice. Work such as software development and preparation of report materials must be done outside of class hour. In addition, students are expected to proceed with other actual work depending on their own progress. Students are expected to actively participate in study groups held on weekends and during long vacations to improve their skills. Including these, the preparation and review time for this exercise is at least 2 hours each.

Grades are assigned as follows:
Active participation in seminar activities (50%): Students are able to conduct literature surveys, collect, analyze and evaluate data. To reach this goal, students should be able to make progress reports and discuss them.
Various deliverables (50%): The students should be able to specify their research theme and explain it to others. For this purpose, they should be able to develop software and report materials.
