Outline (in English)

This course is designed to impart basic knowledge about American literature, especially in the era of Postmodern. By learning historical and geographical backgrounds of the literary and critical texts since 1960s, students will understand how literary imagination contributes to solving global matters.

Learning activities outside of classroom:
Before/after each class meeting, students are expected to spend 2 hours respectively to understand the course content.

There will be small tests at the beginning of each class. Grading shall be as follows:
1. Quizzes in class: 50%.
2. Final exam: 50%.
