Outline (in English)

Course Outline
Students will be trained to read as many newspaper/online media articles/videos in English (more advanced level than English III (a)) as possible. Extensive, rather than intensive reading and comprehension is the target.
Learning Objectives
1. Students will understand relatively easy sports/health articles using dictionaries.
2. Students will get accustomed to English expressions and rules used in sports/health news articles.
Learning Activities Outside of Classroom
Students are recommended to read English and Japanese sports/health news regularly. They are recommended to read more outside classrooms, making use of online dictionaries. Preparations and reviews of each class might take about an hour.
Grading Criteria / Policy
Grades will be based on mid-term exams(35%), end-term exams(35%), and other assignments(30%).
