Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This course is for students who are at the advanced level of Japanese to
prepare to get a job in Japan.
Students will improve the skills required for job hunting by developing
formal(honorific) language skills and business manners.
【Learning Objectives】
In this course, students will be able to do the following:
(1) Use basic honorific expressions and manners.
(2) Acquire the basic knowledge necessary for job hunting.
(3) Acquire skills useful for job hunting through self-analysis, resume
and entry sheet writing, and group discussions.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to actively review honorifics (Keigo) each week and engage in tasks such as self-analysis and entry sheet.
The minimum study time required outside of class is one hour per class session.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
In-class Contribution: 20%
Quiz: 20 %
Assignments: 50%
Presentation: 10%
※ No credit will be given to students who are absent more than three
times.
※ Students who want to take the course must attend the first and second class sessions. Those who fail to do so cannot take the course.
【Others】
※This class was called "Japanese for Science and Engineering 6S""Japanese for Science and Engineering 6F" until FY2023. Students who have earned credits in the past will not be able to take this class again.
※The selection will be held if the number of applicants exceeds the class size limit.
