Outline (in English)

The purpose of this class is to enhance the academic Japanese ability for writing a dissertation (master and doctoral). The subjects of this class are those who already have the basics of academic writing and have written reports and essays (in principle, those who have passed the N1 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)).
In each class, you learn the expressions for writing a dissertation and carry out activities. In the first half of the semester, you conduct a "speaking activity" (presentation of your dissertation research plan and Q & A), and in the second half of the semester, a "writing activity" an overview of dissertation about 4,000 characters).
The standard time for preparation and review in this class is 2 hours each.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
In-class contribution :20%, Submission rate and quality of assigned essays: 20%. Term-end essay: 40%, Final presentation: 20%.
* Level check and interview are conducted in the first lesson, and the lesson starts from the second class. Students wishing to register to the class must attend the first and second lessons.
