Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Ethics is the study of how to live a good life. The goal of this course is to offer a roadmap for conversations about ethics by presenting an overview of the development of ethical ideas in the Western world. The key concept to focus on is virtue ethics.
【Learning Objectives】
This course aims to deepen your understanding of ethical thought from early modern to modern times, practice consideration of ethical issues, and enhance self-awareness by exploring various ethical ideas.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to review their resumes and create reaction papers to deepen their reflections.
You are required to dedicate at least four hours to studying for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 60%, Reaction papers: 40%
