Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
This course will focus on reading Russian newspapers, journal articles, and various Internet materials. It will be mainly offered to students who have already studied elementary Russian.
【Learning Objectives】
The objectives of this course are twofold. First, it will provide training opportunities through which students will be able practice the knowledge acquired on Russian grammar and vocabulary. Second, it will enable students to acquire knowledge on various topics related to politics, economy, diplomacy, society and culture in present Russia.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
The main focus will be on reading the translation in class, but homework may be assigned for parts that are not completed. Students are expected to review grammar and vocabulary after class and ask questions in the next class if they do not understand. A final exam will be given to test your understanding of the grammar and vocabulary of the passages read in class. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本授業では、ロシア語園の新聞・雑誌・インターネット記事、テレビニュースなど、「生」のロシア語に触れることにより、これまで学んできたロシア語の文法・語彙を実際に用いるための練習をする。それに加えて、本授業では、受講者の関心に合わせて、今現在のロシアにおける政治、経済、外交、社会、文化等について新たな知識を獲得することも目指す。
到達目標Goal
(1)ロシア語の時事的な文章を辞書を用いながら読むことができる。(2)現在のロシアにおける重要なニュースについて自分の言葉で説明することができる。

本授業は毎回対面形式で行う。毎回の授業でロシア語の文章を配布し、その場で辞書を用いながら読む練習をする。また、文章の内容についてのディスカッションも実施する。少人数の授業となることが予想されるため、フィードバックはその場で行う。

半期の総括・試験
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
授業時間内での訳読が中心となるが、終わらなかった部分は宿題とすることがある。授業で訳読した部分についても、授業後に文法や単語を確認し、わからなかった場合には次回授業で質問すること。期末試験では授業で講読した文章の文法・語彙の理解度を確認する。準備学習・復習時間は各2時間を標準とする。
