Outline (in English)
The aim of this class is to gain a basic understanding of German grammar and build up basic vocabulary. To achieve this goal it is necessary for the students to actively participate in pair and group work in class and learn constantly outside of classroom.
Learning Objectives: We will learn the present these, declination of regular and irregular verbs, definite and indefinite articles and their declination, the plural of nouns, imperative and prepositions.
Learning activities outside of classroom: The students are
supposed to prepare and repeat the course contents for one
hour per week. The main learning activities outside of
classroom are repetition of the learnt grammar, memorizing
vocabulary and doing homework or tasks, which are assigned
by the teacher.
Grading Criteria /Policy: short tests 70%,
course participation 30%. There might be a short test following
the completion of every chapter. Therefore no final exam will
be held. Course participation includes handing in homework
and active participation during classes. If students fail to hand
in their homework, points for the participation grade will be
deducted. In case a student misses more than four classes
without a reason or didn't hand in a certain amount of homework, the student will not earn any credit points.

ドイツ語１Iでは、教科書を用いてドイツ語の初級文法を体系的に学習します。ドイツ語の読解と作文を通してドイツ語の基本的な仕組みを理解することが本授業の目的です。文法の説明とグループワークによってドイツ語の発音と基礎的な表現を身につけます。
到達目標Goal
前期：発音、規則動詞と不規則動詞の変化、名詞と代名詞、複数形、命令形、冠詞類と前置詞を習得する。

文法の説明が終えた後、練習問題を通して実際にその文法を使い、習得する。会話とグループ練習を通してさらにドイツ語文法への理解を深め、基本的な文章を発言させる。

前回の授業の文法を復習すること、単語を暗記すること、与えた課題・宿題に取り組むことが授業時間以外の主な学習です。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
小テストの平均点数 70%、平常点 30%。
定期的に小テストを行うため、全ての内容が問われる期末試験がありません。平常点において課題提出（Hoppii に提出）、出席、積極的な授業参加を総合的に評価する。課題を提出しない場合、欠席する場合、平常点を減点する。未提出の課題が多い場合、無断欠席が４回以上の場合、不合格とする。
学生の意見等からの気づきChanges following student comments
小テストの仕組みが学生に高く評価されましたが、小テストの回数は多すぎると、負担になるのではないかと感じました。比較的に簡単な内容であれば、二つの Lektion を総括し、小テストを行う予定です。表現力と理解を高めるため、履修者同士のアクティビティを増やしていきたいと思います。学習量が多い Lektion の場合、より余裕をもって授業を進めたいと思います
