Outline (in English)
Classes will integrate short lectures with listening exercises and group speaking activities with the aim of improving oral communication skills. Students will also be expected to complete outside reading and writing assignments with the aim of improving their written communication skills.

This course is designed to improve students listening, speaking and writing skills through a series of in-class activities and outside assignments to allow them to become more competent and confident English communicators

Students should be able to communicate in a variety of English speaking situations that they may encounter when living or studying abroad, as well as express their ideas and opinions, both verbally and in writing in a coherent and concise fashion.

The class will incorporate short lectures supplemented by textbook exercises, class discussions and group activities. Students will be required to share and support their opinions with each other and to prepare a short speech on a given topic. Students will receive feedback and comments on homework assignments and in class activities throughout the term either in person or through email.
