Outline (in English)
Using the "CitiPals in New York" textbook as a base point, the aim of the course is to improve the learner's pronunciation through various in-class exercises, establish a stronger command of vocabulary necessary to engage in effective conversation and foster the learner's ability to become more flexible and adaptable to various social settings. This will enable the learner to flexibly and comfortably converse in a diverse range of social settings and situations.
University guidelines suggest preparation and review should be around an hour a week for a one-credit course.
Active participation 20%, midterm and Finals 20%, homework 20%, quizzes 20%, recitations and group work 20%

教科書の各ユニットで紹介される会話内容を用いて、リスニング力、語彙力、読解力を向上させることを目的とする。更に英語発音を上達させ、会話に役立てる語彙やフレーズを理解し、使いこなすためのアクティビティを通して、練習する。
