Outline (in English)

Course outline: The aim of this course is to develop English oral and aural communication skills in a wide variety of real-world situations and emphasizing natural speech and vocabulary development.

Learning objectives: Students will read passages of multiple paragraphs to discuss and talk on general topics and grasp the writer's intention and feeling. This course also helps students foster critical thinking skills to make an objective and multifaceted analysis of the given information.

Learning activities outside of classroom: Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapters from the text and complete the required assignments after each class meeting. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting.

Grading Criteria/policies: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: In class contribution (presentation in English) 70%: Evaluation of Hoppii’s assignment 20%: Short reports: 10%.
