Outline (in English)

[Course Outline]
This course introduces the fundamentals of cultural anthropology, which seeks to understand the cultural and social diversity of the world. The course aims to provide students with the basic concepts and perspectives needed to make cross-cultural comparisons.
[Learning Objectives]
At the end of the course, students should be able to understand global issues such as international development, environmental issues, tourism and ethnic conflict from an anthropological perspective.
[Learning Activities Outside of Classroom]
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
[Grading Criteria/Policy]
Grading will be decided based on term-end report (40%) and in class contribution (60%).
