Outline (in English)

With reference to Economics I, the objective of this course is to address a selection of topics discussed in the real world and to enable students to comprehend rationales and issues behind. The goal of this course is that students will understand some current topics based on actual data as well as develop their ability to explain issues around them in their own words, based on the theoretical background learned in Economics I. Students are expected to read lecture materials prior to each lecture. In addition, as classes will refer to a wide variety of economic indicators, students are strongly encouraged to pay attention to the Business section of newspapers. Final grades will be evaluated based on assignment scores that will be submitted after each lecture, classroom presentations (contributions to the course), and term end reports.
