Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to help students understand how important philosophy is, by studying the philosophical thoughts in ancient Greece and their relation to religion. And also this course introduces the philosophical theory of eudaemonics (happiness) to students taking this course.
At the end of the course students will be able to understand the difference between philosophy and religion and find in what point the clear distinction should be made between them. Students, what is more important, will be able to find the key to understanding of happiness.
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:Term-end report: 60%, Short reports: 40% and in-class contribution.
