Outline (in English)

【Course outline】【Learning objectives】
The novel has a very political and social part. Literary works are not mere fiction. They sometimes produce discrimination and prejudice of the world, and they also hurt certain individuals and groups.Or you can not ignore radical violence or sexual expression that is criticized as disturbing the social order.
On the other hand, literature also has a history of fighting social discrimination and prejudice. This lecture will cover these political and social aspects of literary works. Sexual expression and discrimination are the main material.
Our goal is to acquire a culture that allows us to understand topics such as freedom of expression and violence of expression through legal regulations and the history of expression.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Please spend about 4 hours per week reading literary works and watching video works. And since the topic of freedom of expression and expression regulation is always news, please contact the discussion in newspapers and the web.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
The final report is the main subject of evaluation. I also want
to evaluate the short reports (about 400 characters) for each
session. The evaluation rate is 70% for the final report and
30% for short reports.
