Outline (in English)

The objective of this course is to familiarize students with various aspects of the history, culture, politics, economy, social dynamics, and daily life in the vicinity of the Tama Campus. Additionally, the course aims to delve into the distinct significance of residing as university students in this region and the corresponding social responsibilities.
The overarching goals of this course include comprehending the Hosei Tama Campus as the central locus of one's university experience and deriving insights for proactive learning and engagement.
Students are expected to allocate four hours before and after each class session to assimilate the course materials effectively.
Grading for the course will be based on the submission of short reports (70%) and active participation during class discussions (30%).
