▼【 Course outline 】
This course examines poetry collections, diaries, and stories established during the Heian period (8th-13th centuries).
We will study their formation, expression, etc., and then consider their position in the history of Japanese literature.
▼【 Learning Objectives 】
The following three objectives will be pursued.
- To study the formation, authorship, and expression of poetry anthologies, diaries, and stories established during the Heian period (8th-13th centuries).
- To learn about the history of research on poetry collections, diaries, and stories established in the Heian period (8th-13th century).
- To look at the literature of the Heian period (8th-13th century) as a historical flow.

The final grade will be based on the credit examination.
The content of the report will be considered in the evaluation.
- To grasp the main points of Heian literature.(50%)
- To understand the flow of literary history.(50%)

◆平安時代（中古）に作られた、さまざまな歌集・日記・物語が、どのように研究され、どこまで明らかにされてきたのか知る。
◆平安文学（中古文学）全体を、歴史的な流れとして見渡せる目を養う。

【科目の概要】Method(s)
◆平安時代（中古）には、平仮名・片仮名が発明され、『古今和歌集』などの勅撰和歌集、『蜻蛉日記』などの仮名日記、『伊勢物語』などの歌物語、『源氏物語』などの作り物語、『今昔物語集』などの説話集が生まれた。本科目では、主要な作品の成立・作者・表現などを学びつつ、さらに、それらが日本文学史の中でどのような位置を占めるのか、ジャンルごとに習得してゆく。
【成績評価基準】Grading criteria
◆最終成績は、単位修得試験により評価するが、評価の際は、先に提出されたリポートの内容を考慮する。
◆平安文学（中古文学）の概要を把握できているか（50%）、日本文学史の流れを把握できているか（50%）。

◎足立直子ほか監修『プレミアムカラー国語便覧 改訂版』（数研出版）、2024年、￥900＋税
【注】2017年の旧版を用いても、2024年の改訂版を用いても、どちらでもかまいません。
【学習指導、注意点等】Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
◆通信学習のリポートに、添削・講評でフィードバックする。
◆上記テキスト『プレミアムカラー国語便覧』の「古文編」のコーナーを読み、作品の概要、歴史の流れ、文化や用語を、よく理解すること。
◆KADOKAWAの《角川ソフィア文庫》、講談社の《講談社学術文庫》、岩波文庫の《黄帯》、小学館の《新編日本古典文学全集》、新潮社の《新潮日本古典集成》、岩波書店の《新日本古典文学大系》などには、『古今和歌集』『竹取物語』『伊勢物語』『蜻蛉日記』『枕草子』『源氏物語』『更級日記』『大鏡』などの原文・現代語訳が収められている。各作品を手に取って（部分的でもよいので）読んでみることを、強く推奨する。
