This class is for advanced level students. Students will learn skills for writing a paper in Japanese.

Goals:
By taking this class, you will be able to:
1. ask questions in Japanese and show evidence.
2. think critically in Japanese.
3. learn types/formats of paper and write yourself.

Students are expected to study two hours at home for preparing/reviewing each lesson.
Students are expected to do all assignments.
Students will be asked to submit a 10 page long (single-space) paper at the end of the semester.

Attendance and daily performance 25%
Assignments 15%
Quizzes 10%
Mid-term exam 15%
Final exam 20%
Final paper 15%
