Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This is a class for studying mid-upper intermediate level grammar and vocabulary. The aim of this class is for you to understand and utilize the Japanese needed for discussing general subjects.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students are expected to master JLPT N2 level grammar and vocabulary.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to complete all required all assignments. The progress of this class is very fast, so it is absolutely necessary to prepare every time. Your study time is at least three hours for class meeting.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Grading will be decided based on the following:
Class participation: 30%
Assignments :10%
Quizzes:20%
Mid-term Exam:20%
Final Exam:20%

※Students who miss 4 or more times class will not be eligible for the credit on this course, nor take the final exam.
※Japanese 5S(IntensiveⅡ)and Japanese 5S (IntensiveⅢ) are the same textbook, but Ⅱ(L1-L7)and Ⅲ(L9-L13) have different lessons.
We strongly recommend that you take both Ⅱand Ⅲ classes in one semester in order to improve your learning.
It is also possible to take them separately.
