Outline (in English)

This is the advanced course for the development of students' English presentation skills. Based on the contents covered in Kiso Eigo A, students will further cultivate their presentation skills. At the completion of this course, students will be able to deliver a presentation in English on academic topics reflecting issues or findings in the fields of social welfare, community development, or clinical psychology. Such topics could be related to physical or mental health status, work and life balance, social connections, housing conditions, civic engagement, the role of orphanages in child welfare, disaster management, and so on. Through academic books, papers, and official websites, in this course, students will (1) gain knowledge on their selected topics, (2) learn how to summarize the findings or suggestions of previous studies and construct an appropriate discussion, and (3) suggest a solution or express their own findings or opinions. Students should be able to use objective facts and figures in the form of graphs or charts and defend their discussion in the question and answer session.
