Outline (in English)
Classes will integrate short lectures with listening exercises and group speaking activities with the aim of improving oral communication skills. Students will also be expected to complete outside reading and writing assignments with the aim of improving their written communication skills.

This course is designed to improve students' listening, speaking and writing skills through a series of in-class activities and outside assignments to allow them to become more competent and confident English communicators.
到達目標Goal
Students should be able to communicate in a variety of English speaking situations that they may encounter when living or studying abroad, as well as express their ideas and opinions, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and coherent fashion.

The class will be conducted online through Zoom, incorporating short lectures supplemented by textbook exercises, class discussions and group activities. Students will be required to share and support their opinions with each other and to prepare a short speech on a given topic. Students will receive feedback and comments on homework assignments and in class activities throughout the term. Students who will be accessing Zoom on campus in the designated classroom should bring a headset (with microphone) to class so as to ensure privacy and minimize disruptions to others.

Students can expect homework each week (approximately 1-2 hours) in terms of reviewing previous class material, reading assignments, and weekly English journal entries to supplement and reinforce key class concepts.
