Outline and objectives

This course will help students to improve their English communications skills for business and to develop a better understanding of international business practices.

Goal

Student will gain confidence to share information in English
while conducting business.

Class activities will include pair work, group work and discussions. Some written homework will be assigned. Students will

University guidelines suggest preparation and review should be around an hour a week for a one-credit course.

Students will be given supplemental material to increase their
knowledge of business topics.

Grading criteria

Students will be evaluated on a pair-speaking exam (75%) and
class participation (25%). In principle, no more than 3 absences per term are allowed.
