Outline (in English)

This course focuses on the characteristics of Japanese and Okinawan approach mainly in classical poetry, prose and culture. The topic will be further highlighted by discussing differences in Eastern and Western world views, and by encouraging students to develop and present their own ideas on importance and position of Japanese traditional culture in the global world.
