Outline (in English)
The objective of the course is to enable students to polish their writing skills to a high level. Reference will be made to articles provided in class to enable improvement in writing structure and content.

Using non-fiction articles, students will learn how to express ideas and opinions. Each week students will read and discuss a topic in class and then write a short report or essay outlining their reactions. Individual feedback will be given on each report or essay.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
Grades will be based on written essays (100%). Course credits will not be given where a student is absent three or more times in a semester without submitting a reason.
