Outline (in English)

Food is essential not only to sustain life but also to allow us to have a healthy and cultural life. However, the supply and demand for food remains unbalanced, and food distribution is uneven. In this class, we will survey the trends in food supply and demand in different countries, including Japan. We will then examine food issues, especially focusing on food distribution and international trade in agricultural products.
