Outline (in English)

Developmental biology is an academic field that arouses the interest of a number of biologists from ancient days. At the end of the 20th century, the mechanisms of individual occurrences in developmental biology become clear at the molecular level and are understood to be closely related to human diseases, cancer, aging, and so forth. Therefore, studying developmental biology brings valuable information for medical and agricultural application. In this lecture, we introduce the outline of developmental biology and refer to connections with other fields such as regeneration, evolution, medicine and agriculture.
