Outline (in English)

The goal of this seminar is to write an academic article by each student in the field of international relations (particularly security studies). The completed article is required to follow a rigorous scientific standard which develops an original argument and testable hypotheses through critically analyzing previous research, quantitatively test the argument through collecting the data from the open source with rigorous empirical foundation, and provides policy implications in each selected topic. During the seminar, students are provided enough training for the analytical reading of published articles and analytical skills for developing own hypotheses. The hands-on workshop for learning the basics of political methodology and computer software (R studio) are also provided.
