Outline (in English)

Under the market economy regime, the Antimonopoly Act establishes basic rules of business activities to secure consumer interests and democratic development of the economy and is also called the economic constitution. It is also a basic law for implementing competition policy.
Regarding such antitrust law, we lecture on purpose,basic thinking of economics which is the basis, contents of major prohibited acts, roles in the Japanese economy and recent issues with other related laws.
Students acquire a basic understanding of the Antimonopoly Act which will come close to them in future business activities and consumption life and understand the relationship between economic theory and actual economic policy (competition policy) through the Antimonopoly Act
