Outline (in English)
This course will help students to:
・improve listening skills;
・learn to communicate ideas;
・develop basic skills in oral fluency, accuracy, and communication
strategies;
・give short speeches and presentations about culture, personal
experiences and plans for the future;
・develop self-confidence in using English for talking about their own
life and the world.

The aim of this course is to prepare students for interactive communication using the different expressions in the English language and how to use them properly. This course will stimulate the interest of students to improve their ability to talk about various topics connected with social issues.

Classes will be conducted online using the on-demand type of class. The contents of the lesson will be provided in video PowerPoint voice recorded format with the written copy in PDF file and it will be uploaded and posted on Google classroom. The class code of Google Classroom will be sent to all the students through the learning management system (Hoppii) and e-mail. Students will receive a written or verbal feedback in a variety of ways for online class:
• Announcements at the beginning of class (online or recorded)
• Written feedback on weekly assignments via Google classroom
• Online / One-on-One (Question and Answer ) during “digital office hours” by appointment
• Using rubrics to help make comments actionable for the student
