Outline (in English)
Giving effective presentations in English will increase job opportunities and lead to skill up in the future. The aim of the course is to develop students’ logical thinking and English expressions through watching academic presentations with interesting topics.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
英語で効果的なプレゼンテーションができることは将来の就職機会の増大やスキルアップにつながるであろう。大学生にとって興味深いテーマのアカデミック・プレゼンテーションの視聴・内容理解を通して、英語プレゼンテーションで使われる論理展開方法と英語表現を学ぶことを目的としている。
到達目標Goal
本授業の到達目標は以下の3点である。
・英語のプレゼンテーションの全体と詳細を聞き取ることができる。
・英語のプレゼンテーションの練習問題やディクテーションやシャドーイングを通じて自分でも発表できる。
・英語で意見を述べる際の基本的な表現方法を身につけることができる。

授業の進め方と方法Method(s)（学期の途中で変更になる場合には、別途提示します。 /If the Method(s) is changed, we will announce the details of any changes. ）
まず内容理解のためのキーワードの意味をチェックし、プレゼン・ビデオ全体を観て概要を把握し、次にビデオをパート毎に観て詳細を把握する。その後、プレゼンや論理的な英文でよく使われる英語表現の整序問題を行い、重要表現を覚える。プレゼンで使われるスライドを参考に英文要約の空所補充問題を解く。最後に重要表現を音声で聞き、ディクテーションで表現を確認した後に、シャドーイング学習活動を行う。各ユニットごとにプレゼン原稿を提出し教師のフィードバック（添削）後にプレゼンは3回してもらう予定だが、ウェブ授業になった場合は多少の変更があり得る。

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
授業外でもオンライン映像配信サービス「plus+Media」を使ってディクテーションやシャドーイングをしてもらう予定である。
プレゼン原稿など授業時間内で終わらなかったものは自宅で準備することが必要で、予習、復習時間は合わせて週1時間程度を標準とする。

学生の意見等からの気づきChanges following student comments
2020年度はウェブ授業のため、授業中の学生の反応がほとんどわからないというハンディがあり、Hoppiiなどを通じた学生の質問にも満足に答えられたかどうか不安だったがまあまあ健闘したのではと思っている。
学生が準備すべき機器他Equipment student needs to prepare
特にウェブ授業の場合、iPhoneやiPadを使用する学生は、提出物は全てMS Wordに再変換して提出すること。
その他の重要事項Others
プレゼン原稿で翻訳サイトや自動翻訳機などの翻訳機器を使ったことが判明すると単位を失うことがあるので注意！
