Outline (in English)

The myths and folklore of Nansei Islands are closely related to Southern Kyushu. The Hayato were the people who sailed across the Southern Kyushu and Southern Satsuma islands. In this course, the myth of the Hayato and the people of the sea who sailed across the Nansei areas will be learned. The relationship between the Hayato from the Southern Kyushu and Japanese myths reveals the presence of Hayato people in Japanese myths. The culture of ancient Kyushu will be deeply learned.
