Outline (in English)

What does it mean to grow older? This course promotes students’ understanding in the definition of “ Growing older” with relation to welfare system and measures for the aged, communities, and the society in general. In this process, we will pay our attention to how the aging culture has been formed socially, culturally, historically, locally/regionally, and from welfare-perspective. We will also define the ideology of growing older, old age and death, welfare for the aged, and having a proactive aged life.
