Outline (in English)

In this class we carefully read ‘The tale of Ise’ (from chapter 1 through 15) for studying about the linguistic expressions of Japanese classical literature and the methods of analyzing them. The aim of the class is to understand the characteristics of classical texts written in kana and interpret the linguistic expressions precisely in the context. This class is mainly intended for overseas students.
