Outline (in English)

This course provides an introduction to Industrial Organization. The course introduces a broad range of topics in the theoretical Industrial Organization. Students will learn the firm behavior and its consequences in oligopolistic markets where the assumptions of perfect competition do not hold. Topics include the pricing and marketing strategies of individual firms in monopoly and oligopoly; price discrimination, product differentiation, vertical constraints, merger, and platform strategies.
Studying Industrial Organization will help you to understand how markets work in a logical way and to obtain a new perspective on firms' behaviors.
