Outline (in English)

This class aims to improve the academic Japanese skills needed to write a dissertation (master's thesis) at graduate school.
This class is for those who have little experience in writing Japanese and hope to learn the basics of academic writing. Students are required to have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above.
In each lesson, students learn the expressions for writing a dissertation and carry out activities. The first half of the semester focuses on “writing activities” (writing essays of about 1,500 characters), while “speaking activities” (presentation and Q & A) are conducted during the second half of the semester.
* Level check and interview will be conducted in the first class. The class starts from the second class. Therefore, it is mandatory for students to attend the first and second classes.
