Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In this course, we will study the evolution of sports journalism in Japan and examine how various events in contemporary society are perceived and conveyed.
【Learning Objectives】
The goals of this course are:
A) Developing the ability to perceive sports from various perspectives and critically analyze them.
B) Identifying the challenges facing sports in contemporary Japan.
C) Enhancing judgment and expressive skills based on media literacy.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Review what you have learned in each lecture. Checking sports news regularly. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policy)】
In-class reports (50%), and in-class presentations (50%).
