Outline (in English)
(Couse outline)
The Dissertation Seminar is intended for doctoral students in the Department of Business Administration who are in the process of writing a doctoral dissertation.
Over the course of the seminar, students may be developing their dissertation topics and research design, writing proposals, collecting and analyzing data, writing concluding chapters, or preparing for the final oral examination. Students may be also required to make provision for presentation of papers at conferences and/or posting to peer-reviewed academic journals, if instructed.
(Lerning Objectives)
The purpose of the series of doctoral dissertation seminars(Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ) is to acquire advanced expertise on academic knowledge and skills to reach the acceptable level for each examination of the three steps of the Doctoral Workshop.
The goal of the present seminar, ⅠB, is to wrap up a research proposal reaching the level to pass the examination of "the first step or step one" of Doctoral Workshop ⅠB.
(Leaning activities outside of classroom)
You are expected to make presentations at academic conferences on the contents of your doctoral dissertation and prepare for submission of a related paper to peer-reviewed journals along with the advice of your instructor.
（Grading Criteria)
Grading will be decided based on research achievements and/or progresses such as conference presentations, paper submissions to peer-reviewed journals, and engagement in research activities including attendance, giving papers, and other research progresses and attitudes at the seminar.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
博士演習は、博士論文執筆を計画的かつ着実に進めていくために、博士コースの三段階の各ステップの水準に達するよう、毎回の報告や輪読等に対する指導教員による助言および批判をうけつつ、高度な専門知識を習得していくことを目的とする。
博士演習ⅠBでは、博士コースワークショップⅠ（ステップ１）のクリアに求められる水準の「研究計画書」の執筆を目指す。さらに、指導教員と相談しつつ、博士論文を構成する内容での学会での研究発表や査読付き学術誌への論文投稿に向けての計画・準備を進める。
到達目標Goal
博士演習の目的は、博士コースワークショップの3つのステップの各評価に当たって合格レベルに達する学識・技術の高度な専門性を習得することである。
特に，博士演習ⅠBでは、博士コースワークショップⅠBの「第1段階」の審査に合格するレベルの研究計画書をまとめることを目標とする。

研究テーマに基づく、主要先行論文のサーベイ、研究方法、博士論文の構成などの報告を行い、指導教員による批評と助言を受け、博士コースワークショップⅠ（ステップ１）のクリアに求められる水準の「研究計画書」の執筆を目指す。
教員によっては修士課程の学生等との合同指導やディスカッションなどが行われることもある。実施形式等は受講生と指導教員で相談して決定する。
