Outline (in English)
The purpose of this class is to develop the communicative competence necessary for effective participation in society and the world of work. The class aims to help students acquire a broad ability to communicate, starting from familiarity with daily conversation to explaining topics of students’ own interest or field of study, while deepening understanding of foreign cultures necessary for global citizens. Based on a firm foundation of basic skills, the class focuses on the future needs and interests of students as well as the ability to apply English to research and work in a setting of small, leveled classes for maximum effectiveness.

Students are expected to have the textbook by the second week of class and bring it to class every week. Students should consider the board as an extension of their textbook. As a result, they should take notes on everything the teacher writes on it.
