授業の概要と目的(何を学ぶか)Outline and objectives
Business communication skills: to develop the skills necessary for effective communication for a variety of common business or workplace situations.
到達目標Goal
This course aims to develop the student's vocabulary and ability to discuss key business concepts and engage in realistic problem solving discussions. Language functions such as Meeting people, Telephoning, Explaining company performance and Describing products & services will be covered in the course. Special emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, listening and speaking skills. Practice test questions from the TOEIC test will also be covered in this course.

Students will study business communication skills and practice these by engaging in pair work, group work, and discussion/problem solving activities. Students will also discuss business practices and cultural differences in business settings at the end of each unit. Some brief written assignments will also be given.
Feedback on submitted assignments and quizzes will be given at the beginning of the following class.
