Outline (in English)

Course outline
The aim of this course is to acquire the reading and listening skils for the TOEIC L&R Test. Students will learn the basic knowledge of vocabulary and grammar which is necessary for the TOEIC TEST.

Learning Objectives
This course will focus on grammar and listening skills with the goal of achieving a TOEIC(R) score of 650. Therefore, students are expected to prepare for the course, but are also expected to place emphasis on reviewing. In particular, students are expected to study listening at home every day. Students are expected to make their own study plans and take at least one exam to see the results and revise their study plans. Also, write a report on the results. For this purpose, it is desirable to take this class throughout the year if possible.
Students who take this class must attend the first class.

Learning activities outside of classroom
The standard preparation and review time for this class is one hour.
Please use the NHK language course, make a vocabulary book, check words and phrases, etc.

Grading Criteria/Policy
Final exam 60% 
Quiz: 10%. 
Report assignment and remarks: 20%.
Ordinary points 10%.
If you are going to be absent, you must submit a report of your absence.
Three tardies will count as one absence.
In principle, students who are absent more than 4 times per semester will not be allowed to earn credits.
